So you think we all know how to wash our hands? Well this short training session will tell you how and why we get it so wrong and then tell you exactly how to ensure your hands are clean and sanitised.
When I refer to hand sanitiser in this course I specifically mean alcohol hand sanitiser that has at least 60% alcohol content. This is not to say other non-alcohol hand sanitisers are ineffective. Its just that I haven’t done any research on the wide variety of non-alcohol hand sanitisers available and I know from the most reliable sources (such as CDC and WHO) that 60% + alcohol content sanitiser is effective against COVID 19.
AND WITHOUT DOUBT USING SOAP AND WATER TO WASH HANDS IS THE BEST OPTION WHEN AVAILABLE (AND WHEN DONE PROPERLY!)
Make sure you complete all the lessons and quizzes to get your Hand Hygiene Certificate
Unclean hands account for the vast majority of disease transmission which causes illness and death.
Good hand hygiene could save your life and that of others including the people you love.
Trouble is we (that’s people like me) have always told you to wash your hands for 20 seconds.
Now that’s great except for one thing.
We don’t do it!!!
So here is a completely new approach that I think will make hand hygiene a more thoughtful and practical process.
If it saves one person’s life it will be worth it!
